The Texas Department of Public Safety arrested Eduardo Hernandez for a fatal hit‑and‑run that occurred Sunday at 12:02 a.m. on State Highway 4 west of FM 511. Hernandez was driving a silver 2024 Jeep Wrangler, struck a pedestrian lying in the westbound lane, and fled without rendering aid. He was taken to the Cameron County Jail and faces charges for failing to stop and provide aid.
