Your pickup week depends on your location: Section 1 (north of Expressway 83) – second full week of the month; Section 2 (between Expressway 83 and Business 83) – third full week; Section 3 (south of Business 83) – fourth full week. Recycling center hours and accepted materials

The Alamo Recycling Center is open Monday‑Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. (closed for lunch). The A.R.T.I.E stand‑alone facility is open Monday‑Friday 8:00 a.m.‑8:00 p.m. and Saturdays 8:00 a.m.‑12:00 p.m. Accepted items include #1 and #2 paper, cardboard, aluminum cans, newspapers, junk mail, phone books, books, magazines, shredded paper, and most electronic devices (except CRT monitors/TVs). Residential roll‑off dumpster

The roll‑off dumpster for residential use is located at 803 S. Tower Rd. Hours are Monday‑Friday 8:30 a.m.‑11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.‑4:30 p.m. Allowed items include sofas, mattresses, plastics, small amounts of lumber, sheetrock, carpet/linoleum, and certain plastics. Items not allowed are tires, batteries, hazardous waste, liquids, concrete, appliances with Freon, and electronics.
