This brochure explains the Lower Rio Grande Valley Watershed Assessment being carried out by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (Galveston District) with three Texas counties as non‑federal sponsors. The study aims to produce a comprehensive water‑management plan for the four‑county LRGV region, address flooding, ecosystem health, and water‑supply challenges, and develop recommendations for resilience. It invites San Juan residents to share their experiences and priorities through a voluntary online form, email, or mail and shows that the project is currently in the “Developing Recommendations” phase (May 2025).
